I started my non-profit career in 2013 at a Los Angeles based LGBTQ center.Those formative years led me into the world of chronic homelessnes, and to persons experiencing severe and persistent mental health. A life transition happened and I found myself in San Francisco working in Affordable housing.During that time as a Residential Services Coordinator, building relationships with such a diverse community of people living in Section 8 housing. Daily I entered units occupied by strong and funny personalities, with PhDs, formerly successful business owners, and loving grandparents. The same narrative was spoken during our tea chats. “I got sick.” “My Spouse or parents died instantly.” and “I just couldn’t deal with life.And I loss everything.” All uncontrollable transitional moments in life.That took families, from years of building a comfortable lifesyle to, below the poverty line in a matter of months. Case management has been created to support the sick, and chronically low income persons with navigating the healthcare and supportive services systems. But you typically have to be poor to gain access to these services. But, America is built on the Middle Class. Who will help the Middle Class? narHOMECARE, believes in accessible case management during life’s transitions to help families and individuals pass through a difficult moment in time without losing everything. I I will help you get over that hump to return to your same life or better!
